This series of cards contains examples of the work by American painter Winslow Homer who is often identified with work that shows seascapes and life in Maine and portrayed a style that was part of the realist movement. These cards may be used to introduce children to the work of Winslow Homer who was largely self taught and managed to become one of the preeminent figures in American Art. Use METIS to see additional paintings he created and how every one of them began as a sketch prior to being completed.

A total of 12 different paintings along with the title of the painting found on the back side of each card.

A biography card is also available to give an introduction to the artist's life and style of painting.
