This concept has never been more important than today, particularly with all the changes that are taking place in several countries throughout the Middle East. With the help of this timeline students will be able to trace the path that civilizations have followed through the years, as we strive to bring about the changes that will better the lives of future generations.
In the last 100 years, the world has experienced a variety of revolutions. Some examples that brought change in the political structure of a country are the Mexican Revolution of 1910, the Russian Revolution of 1917, and the Cuban Revolution of 1959. Revolutions that have brought about change in the structure of society include the Industrial Revolution of the late 1800’s and the Cultural Revolution of the 1960’s. Those who support the idea that we are moving into a new Information Age believe that we are presently in the midst of a revolution.
The time scale of this timeline is the same as our timeline of world events.
